AI tutor with knowledge tracing
A personal learning-tool prototype around concept graphs and learner state; still more design exploration than product.
This is a side project that keeps pulling me back. The idea is a personalised tutor that tracks a learner’s understanding across a graph of concepts: modelling not just what they have seen, but what they can actually use.
It connects to my own experience. I came to maths and computer science late, taught myself most of the foundations outside formal courses, and built an elaborate personal knowledge management system — an Obsidian vault structured as an externalised concept graph — to keep track of it all. The question I keep returning to is whether you could systematise that process and make the scaffolding adaptive rather than manual.
This is speculative and unfinished. At this stage it is a prototype and design problem, not a finished tutoring system.
